CONGRATULATIONS!  You’ve successfully survived Thanksgiving and Black Friday!

But more than likely you’re running around, decorating the house, wrapping presents and coming up with gift ideas for family & friends for 2014.

While you’re making those lists and checkin’ ’em twice, we thought we’d help you out with a few ideas.  Take a look at some of our favorite things and get some ideas on gifting for this season!

{Club W}

If you haven’t picked up on it already, we kinda like wine.
And apparently I’ve been getting into shipped subscriptions?  I dunno – they’re convenient and easy!  Don’t judge me.
So when I read about {Club W} and the fact that they deliver wine to your DOORSTEP it was an obvious “duh!” moment.

The run down is this – you buy a minimum of 3 bottles every 1 month for only $13 per bottle.  Then they ship them to your place.  boom.
How do they know what to send you, you ask?  Well, you fill a short Palette Profile (with simple, non-wine term questions) and then indicate what you’d like your white/red breakdown to be every month (we do 2 red/1 white in our house). Continue reading

{On the Docket: July 2014}

It’s the always dreaded Texas summer.
Heat, swampy air and endless electricity bills.  My fave.

And even though the heat could make a girl crazy, we try to keep in cool over here in the Bybel house.  Finding indoor or evening events are key.  Here’s what we’ll be up to…we welcome you to join!  (Or at least read up on it here after).

Mini-Vacation: {Washington State}

The family is getting back together!
After two long years away, my parents are moving back to Texas – in fact, they were wheels up this morning on their way to the Lone Star State.
We couldn’t be more excited…except for the fact that they have to leave Seattle.

Pete and I love it there.  The food, wine, company and scenery are absolutely to die for.  So before we lost the privilege of having free room & board in one of our favorite places, we knew we had to make a short trip back (and help with the packing, of course).
You may remember that we went for a {visit} back in February 2013.  It was Pete’s first time so we focused a lot more on the tourist-y sites and we were excited to expand upon our repertoire this time after hitting up a few of our fave places.

{Double Date: Greenville Ave.}

New York/New Jersey, Dallas, Seattle, Dallas, Boston, Dallas.
Annnnnd done.
It’s been 3 weeks of marathon travel.  Some for fun, some for work – regardless Pete and I have been missing our home and our friends, so it seemed only fitting to get out of house on Friday and let someone else pay for our A/C for the night.

We met up with our friends Angela & Bryan to enjoy some time exploring the ever-growing Lower Greenville to enjoy some grub and drinks.

{HG Supply Co.} provided real (and delicious) food with a beet-infused tequila cocktail.  Oh, and there was a “sunset toast” for the whole restaurant at 6:30pm.  Don’t miss it…it was awesome.
