Day Away: {College Station}

It was an exciting day for an Aggie family.
My brother-in-law was officially getting his Aggie Ring!  And while we couldn’t be there for his picking up the ring, there wasn’t a chance we were going to miss his dunk.

Pete I headed down to College Station yesterday afternoon with no plans between our arrival and the late night dunk.  So when my father-in-law suggested start the afternoon at a winery, I ’bout jumped for joy!

yays: Messina Hof is the only winery in the Bryan/College Station area.
Their ports are FANTASTIC.  (They even had a white port.  Who knew?)
The wine bar is cute and cozy.
Learned some really cool tasting tips during the tour.
The owner and founder still walks around on the grounds.
nays: The service at the wine bar was terrible.
The facility wasn’t fantastic (I think Napa made us snooty).

After the winery, we headed to dinner at Grub Burger Bar.

yays: Rosemary sweet potato fries, spiked milkshakes, and Guacapotle (guacamole & chipotle) burgers.
nays: It’s popular and it’s busy.  Expect some waiting time to order your food.

And then…the DUNK!

yays: David dunked in 1:01!  WHOOP!
Pokemon themed.
nays: The post dunk ralphing.

Thanks & Gig’em,
